How to avoid getting stuck in a pot

How to avoid getting stuck in a pot means to avoid building up a big pot with a hand that you aren’t sure is good. You will want to play more pots in position to avoid being stuck in pots. If you start to play more hands out of position you will be stuck more often. Even if you have a big pair and make a re-raise before the flop you are stuck in an ace hits the flop. If your opponent doesn’t have an ace in their hand you can still be in trouble in the pot, and get stuck. That is just a bad situation for you and you should still make a bet on the flop, but fold to a re-raise. You can’t do anything if you lose a hand like that because if they do have AK the poker bonus money would of most likely gone in before the flop anyway, but, since it didn’t you are losing less by betting and folding the flop.

When you are playing hands out of position you are going to be in worse shape playing flops because your opponent who is in position is at the advantage. When you start to play hands out of position, and weaker cards is when you will be stuck in pots. If you do want to play weaker hands the best strategy is to play them in position. The button is the part of poker that people overlook. It is something that you should keep in mind always when entering a hand. If you see the table has limped in and you are from the button or small blind with a mediocre pair it is better to just limp as well. An idea to keep in mind is to build pots with big hands or hands that you feel are the best. If you make a raise with a hand like an 88 or 99 and a big flop comes out you will be stuck as of what to do. You could bet, but will most likely get called or floated for one street. The best way to avoid this is in general to play small pots with small hands and big pot with big hands. If you can play smaller pots with weaker hands you will be losing the least, and avoid getting stuck in pots.

To avoid getting stuck in a pot is more of a view than a strategy. If you don’t feel like your opponent has anything, but they do make a big bet you can check raise them to get them off the hand. If you feel comfortable playing pots with certain players then you will never feel stuck in pots. It is when you feel uncomfortable playing pots with players that you will feel stuck. If you can more so avoid playing big pots with players you aren’t familiar with you will be better for it. When you start playing more reckless with bets is when you will be getting stuck in hands. Playing a wide range of hands has its advantage sometimes, but other times it can cost you.
